1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device — computer, tablet, or mobile phone — when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work correctly, to improve performance, and to provide information to the owners of the site.

Some cookies are essential for the website to function. Others are used to collect information about how visitors use the site, and some allow us to remember your preferences. Where cookies are not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent before placing them on your device.

2. Who We Are

This Cookie Policy applies to the website www.inspiredbathroomsandkitchens.com, operated by:

Inspired Bathrooms & Kitchens Ltd
Registered in England and Wales
Showrooms: 250 Telegraph Road, Heswall, CH60 7SG  |  125 Long Lane, Chester, CH2 1JF
Email: sales@inspiredbathroomsandkitchens.com

If you have any questions about this policy or how we use cookies, please contact us using the details above.

3. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes:

  • To ensure the website functions correctly and forms are protected from misuse (strictly necessary cookies)
  • To remember your cookie preferences (preference cookies)
  • To understand how visitors use our website, so we can improve it (analytics cookies)
  • To measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns (marketing cookies)

We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information without your knowledge or consent, and we do not sell data collected via cookies to third parties.

4. The Cookies We Use

The tables below list the specific cookies used on this website, organised by category. Where consent is required, we will ask you before placing these cookies on your device.

4.1 Strictly Necessary & Preference Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function, or are needed to record the cookie choices you have made. They cannot be switched off and do not require your consent. Recording your choice is itself necessary — without it we would have no record of what you agreed to, and the banner would reappear on every page.

4.2 Analytics Cookies

These cookies allow us to count visits and understand how visitors move around our website. All information is collected and reported in aggregate — no individual visitor is identified.

Analytics cookies are only placed on your device if you have given your consent via the cookie banner.

4.4 Embedded Map Cookies

Our Contact page includes embedded maps showing our Heswall and Chester showroom locations. These maps are served via Snazzy Maps, which loads Google Maps resources. When you view the Contact page, Google Maps may set cookies on your device.

These cookies are set by Google and are subject to Google's own privacy and cookie policies. We do not control them directly.

6. Your Consent & Your Choices

When you first visit our website, a cookie banner appears explaining the categories of cookies in use and asking for your consent. No non-essential cookies are placed on your device until you have made a choice.

You may choose to:

  • Accept All — all categories are enabled
  • Decline All — only strictly necessary and preference cookies are placed
  • Manage Settings — choose individually which categories you are happy with

Changing your mind later

You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie icon that appears in the corner of every page on our website. This reopens the banner so you can make a different choice. Declining is as straightforward as accepting, and always will be.

When you withdraw consent for analytics, we remove the analytics cookies we set on your device.

What withdrawing consent does not do

Some cookies are placed by third parties on their own domains — for example Google's advertising cookies on doubleclick.net. We can stop them being used and stop new ones being set, but we cannot delete cookies that another company has already placed on your device.

To remove those, use your browser's cookie settings (Section 7), or visit Google's own advertising controls at adssettings.google.com.

Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.

7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

In addition to our cookie banner, you can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • See which cookies have been set
  • Block all cookies, or cookies from specific websites
  • Delete cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may affect how the website functions. In particular, the contact form and embedded showroom maps may not work correctly if strictly necessary or functional cookies are blocked.

For guidance on managing cookies in your specific browser, please visit:

To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

To control how Google personalises the adverts you see, visit adssettings.google.com

8. Cookie Retention Periods

Cookies are stored on your device for varying lengths of time depending on their purpose. Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or until you delete them. The specific retention period for each cookie is shown in the tables in Section 4.

Your cookie preferences are stored for 12 months. After that, the banner will appear again and we will ask you to confirm your choices.

9. Consent Mode & Modelled Data

Our website uses Google Consent Mode v2, integrated via Google Tag Manager and our cookie consent platform, Cookie Consent Pro.

When you decline analytics or marketing cookies, Google's tags still load but are told that consent has not been given. In that state they set no cookies on your device and send only limited, non-identifying signals — such as whether consent was given and the country the visit came from.

Google may use these signals, in combination with data from visitors who have consented, to model aggregate traffic and conversion estimates. This modelling is carried out by Google under their own data policies. No individually identifiable data about visitors who have not consented is shared with us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We review this Cookie Policy at least annually, or whenever there is a material change to the cookies or tracking technologies we use. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

If we make significant changes, we will update the cookie banner on the website so that you are aware of any new cookies being placed and, where required, ask for your consent again.
